Hi, my name is Isaiah Galbraith. Today was the first day of paddling. It was a fantastic day on the water. I have been loving the water so far. Today we scouted the Lorne and Colliseum, this was the first time I have ever scouted these sections. In the past I have only had the opportunity to follow other instructors down the river but I have not been able to scout my own line from rivers edge. It feels great to be able to pick my own line on huge rivers.
I feel very comfortable about reading rivers and finding my own line that I run in the end. I am looking forward to picking more of my own lines during this session. I am also looking forward to paddling on garb this year too. last year when I was here, I didn't really have much of a chance to surf garb due to low water levels.this year on the other hand looks fantastic!!

Right now it is a little high, but the only thing that's going to make the wave better is for the water to drop just a little bit more. The best part though, is the water is always dropping slowly this time of year so I know I will be in for a huge treat with garb. Can't wait!!!!
