Water Bottles -Alex Parsons

We all have a water bottle or a collection of water bottles. We even got a new one at the start of Keeners. Now if you are like me you stay loyal to only one. I was at Palmer Fest one year and happened to be one of the last people to leave the campsite. On one of the picnic tables, there happened to be a green Nalgene sitting there. I looked around and being the last one around the water bottle was clearly left behind. So I picked it up and brought it home with me.

Once I got home the water bottle went through the dishwasher multiple times and had some hardcore cleaning done to it. When it was clean I started using it everyday. To add my own personal edge to it I put many stickers on it. I later got tired of carrying it around at school all day so I put a carabiner on the lid so I could clip it to my backpack. Unfortunately the white lid was a bit cracked and falling apart so I tried many methods of putting it back together which involved duct tape and melting the plastic together. After all of my methods failed I went to Trailhead to buy a new black lid. Now that I have the new lid the water bottle is in prime condition and goes everywhere with me.

I have grown a bit of a relationship with my water bottle. I has been many places with me including all the rivers that I paddle, the ski hills I go to, across the country and of course to all of my classes. Through thick and thin my water bottle has been there beside me keeping me hydrated and happy.

Stay hydrated
Alex Parsons
