How To Blunt -Ben

A blunt is a is a 180 degree turn that is angled between 45 and 90 degrees.  To do it you need to be coming down the wave. When you reach the green water you want to edge hard on the opposite side that you are going to blunt on with an aggressive paddle stroke to initiate a bounce. Once you get air born you transition edges and put in a backwards sweep stroke. The faster the edge trasition and the more edge you put in the bigger the blunt will be.

A good way to practise blunts in lean cleans to practice the edge to edge transition and flat water blunts.
