Where Are The Rocks? - Olivia McGinnis

The Ottawa is definitely a lot different than the rivers in the southeast. Where are the rocks? Every rapid is full of fun, fairly un-concequencial play waves and holes, some of which look intimidating, but in all honesty, are safe as can be.
I've been kayaking for almost six years, and I've never been on a river as wide open and great for tricks as the Ottawa. This awesome river, plus the fantastic coaches at Keeners, just from being here for two days, I can tell that I'm already improving as a kayaker. I'm beginning to nearly get kick flips and dialing in my blunts.
To think that it's only been two days is insane. Being surrounded by a group of amazing Keeners and Keener coaches sure does make time fly! I'm so lucky to be privileged enough to be in this fantastic program with these fantastic people. I absolutely cannot wait to see what these next two and a half weeks will bring!

Watching Coach Kabob do a backflip off BFR (Big Friendly Rock. There are so few, the rocks have names!
