The Substantial Keener Breakfast

Keeners are all provided with the necessary ingredients and tools to make a substantial breakfast, but only few take full advantage of the beautiful array of options. While many average Keeners eat multigrain Cheerios or the Lucky Charms they bought at Walmart, the real champions of the morning rise up. 

Emerging from their thrones of the night, the morning maestros thrive in the kitchen, but what does a substantial Keener breakfast consist of? EGGS, BACON, SAUSAGE... PANCAKES! (with chocolate chips) It is very convenient to take the easy way out of breakfast with a bowl of cereal or oatmeal, but in order to minimize the morning slump and maximize fun on the river it is essential to have a healthy breakfast. 

Eggs: Given the slight dome shape of the pans in Keenerville, the most ideal way to make eggs is to scramble them. After the scrambling of the eggs, the adventure has only begun. Salt? Cheese? Ketchup? You name it and it can be on your eggs!

Bacon: Thanks to our friends at Wilderness Tours, we get BACON! And to make it better, it comes already cooked! All you need to do is pop the bacon in the microwave for a few seconds. You make bacon in many different quantities and this can vary daily. I suggest the most bacon on Big Water Bacon Beatdown Thursday.

Sausage: Though less common on the Keener King's plate for breakfast, it certainly is delicious and nutritious. Though the microwave is an option, the most ideal way to prepare the sausage is on the dome shaped pan, and though a few extra minutes work, this method certainly pays off.

PANCAKES: Yes, you read correctly. Pancakes. CHOCOLATE CHIP pancakes. Either make these yourself, or find a friend. Keeners are provided pancake mix from day one and are encouraged to utilize it. A Keener favorite, next to perhaps bacon, pancakes are the best way to start the day and to feel okay! 

There you have it. The best breakfast at Keenerville!
