My 3 favorite playspots on the Ottawa- Ton Dollé

My 3 favorite playspot on the Ottawa by Tom Dollé

  • So my third favorite playspot is Push Button, it’s a little hole right below Garburator where we can do some really big loops and space godzillas. That’s a sweet hole to learn tricks because It’s not too fast and It’s really good to learn big loops.

  • My second favorite wave is Corner wave, the wave is between Phil's hole and baby face; It’s the first rapid of the Ottawa, but it appears mostly at low water. It’s a really hard wave but It’s so much fun. It’s really steep and the water comes really fast so it's really fun to do a lot of spins. It’s also really good to learn the left helix. The eddy is pretty hard to catch because the flow goes to the other side of the river..

  • My favorite wave is the famous wave of the Ottawa called Garburator, that’s where the World Championships were in 2015. It’s a really fast wave, this wave is really hard to understand but when you understand it, It’s the best wave ever.

These are the best spots on the river but there are so many other spots to play and to do some downriver tricks, there are also a lot of rocks to diving which are very fun.
