On the second Wednesday of every Keener session, we make a mass migration to Walmart after kayaking. After a week and a half of life in Keenerville, everybody feels the mad rush to buy STUFF. Out of nowhere, 23 extremely excited teenagers pour into a quiet store at 9:00 at night. It is a scary sight.
Keeners have been known to buy a completely random selection of stuff. As a returning Keener, I can tell you that not everything you purchase at Walmart is a good purchase, but that doesn't matter to most of the kids. Last night's best example is the beach balls. Stephen gave us the idea to buy beach balls that we could use as thrusters in our kayaks. We have yet to see how well they work, but they sure were a lot of fun on the bus ride back.
