On the second week of keeners, there comes a long awaited time where keeners gather together and plot mischievously about how spend their money in the funniest ways. This time is called Walmart night. Every session on the second week of keeners, we take a trip to Walmart to buy anything we want or need for the rest of keeners. For us, this is one of the most exciting parts of the week since we are finally being able to see the wide range of food there is outside of keenerville and wilderness tours. So, when we finally saw the huge, bright blue and yellow logo reading WALMART, the bus doors opened and all the keeners scrambled straight into the doors and scattered in different directions. Every time we’d look to one side, it was like the depths of the enormous superstore called to us ‘BUY EVERYTHING.’ Slowly, our carts filled up with food, candy, soda, funky socks, velvet pants, and anything strange you could think of. By the time we arrived back to the bus, which had been quite spacious when we had gotten off, it was filled with overstuffed Walmart bags full of practically everything in the whole store! I can’t wait to see what people wear into Phil’s on Thursday!
