As part of our SRT course at keeners we had to swim into the pour over at garb and rescue a person. I was ‘stuck’ in the pour over and Liev comes to rescue me, as he grabs hold of my life jacket we are plunged down it to the deep water. Liev some how manages to get me going down head first, face inches from the rocks! We pop up down by moby dick about 10 seconds later. I managed to sustain a nice bruise on my leg from hitting a rock as a souvenir from this traumatic experience, however we still came up laughing and being laughed at by the other keeners and coaches! Swimming the pour over at garb is a must for the Ottawa river!
