The Gatineau river by: Emmett Jaynes

The Gatineau river by: Emmett Jaynes

Running a new river is amazing and full of new experiences. By running a new river, one can learn how to deal with new types of whitewater. This week the keeners went to the Gatineau river where I learned of a different hole that was surprisingly fun named lucifer's anus.

LUCIFERS:This hole was surprisingly fun because it had a wave as its shoulder. when we arrived to the rapid we got out of our boat to scout it, my counselor made a good joke describing it "if you were to name the nastiest hole ever what would you name it?  LUCIFERS ANUS". It s named this because of its roughness on boaters that go into it, the duration of the beatdowns are not that long but this hole can tear you out of your own boat.
BEATDOWN'S: Lucifer's humbled many of the keeners that went in to its gorging mouth, but everyone came out with a big smile and  awesome story. I sadly was not up to the challenge but had fun watching from upstream and hearing Steve-o screaming non stop like a little girl in excitement.

The Gatineau was an awesome river and i hope to go again and possibly stay there for a week there are many good waves and huge hole that are amazing for kick flips and entry moves. All in all it was an amazing time there.
