What an awesome week! This weeks highlights were the Keener Hunger Games where the houses competed against each other in different games made up by the coaches which was sweet, and beatdown Thursday when I surfed right side phils. This week we are saying goodbye to three of our awesome instructors Claire, Clay and Stephen, and I would like to thank them all for everything they have done. I would also like to congratulate Kalem and Quinton on making the Canadian team. I am looking forward to another exciting week!!

First week of Keeners!

My name is Oliver Nutt, I am happy to say that this past week has been the best experience of my summer. This weekend I took part in first aid and C.P.R training taught by the extremely knowledgeable instructor Greg. Not only did we learn the basics of first aid, we were taught in a fashion that related the skills to river / wilderness scenarios.

Surfing at PushButton last Competition Friday. 

So far this week my favorite day was Thursday, not only for the delicious bacon breakfast and rib dinner, but for the big water beatdown, a day where we are encouraged to surf bigger features in a safe way, in doing so we learn that as kayakers we may be put in situations where we are out of our comfort zone. This coming week I am excited for competition Friday, where I hope to apply the skills I learn during the week.
