BEATDOWN Thursday by Rowan Gartner

Beatdown Thursday is essentially where you go through features on the river that put you out of your comfort zone. For most people that entails sending right side left side Phil's or even for the more daring people's Satlers. Specifically our first Thursday we swam a rapid called McCoys on the Ottawa River border between Ontario and Quebec in Canada. Beat-down Thursdays are a part or day in the 3-week-long keneers kids program. I encourage many kids to learn and to push your comfort zone. Come to keeners have a great time.
