A Lazy Weekend by Evan Cassidy
After a bunch of busy days paddling and running rapids, it was nice to finally have a chill weekend at kayaking camp. Instead of waking up early and heading straight to the river, everyone got a chance to relax and take it easy for a bit.
Most people spent the weekend hanging out around the cabins, listening to music, watching movies or just talking with friends. It was a nice break from our normal schedule and gave everyone a chance to catch up on some rest. A few people even took naps, which is a rare thing to happen at camp.
One of the best parts of the weekend was having more time to spend in the cabin. We joked around, told stories, and talked about some of the funniest moments from our trip so far. It was a good chance to get to know each other better without being tired from a long day on the water.
Even though kayaking is the main reason we’re here, having a weekend to relax was awesome. It gave everyone a chance to recharge before getting back to paddling. By the end of the weekend, everyone was feeling rested and stoked to get back on the river the next day.
