Patrick -Week 2

I have had a lot of fun between last post and tonight. Last Thursday we had beatdowns which I didnt have the biggest beatdown of the week but I had a lot of fun. Friday we had our first competition which didnt go too well for me. I ended up getting only 20 points off of spins. Its not that big of a deal because they say that your 3 competition runs are the worst runs of the week. On Saturday, Kalem, Joey, and I ran the river with a raft trip only because we were to lazy to paddle back up. We just had to put in 30 minutes of work for some cans of pop and a ride back to Keenerville. Sunday was a lazy day where we snoozed all day and only did a 15 minutes surf session at Babyface. Monday went back to normal as we had a two new coaches join Rush Sturges and Ben Marr. Tuesday was a fun day where we surfed all day. The water is getting low so the features are changing daily. Then on Tuesday night we went to the Walmart to stock up on junk food then to the movies to see Ted. It was a lot of fun to take a night off from the busy schedule we have. Today was race Wednesday and consisted of 3 races. My first race down the Lorne I came in my heat second along with my second race at Normans. For the final race we had a course set up from Coliseum to Center slot which included flat water. I won the race with a time on 1 minute! It made for a great end to the day.
Until next time,
Patrick

Robertson’s 1st week

This first week at keenerville was pretty awesome. We have had a great time bonding and have had some great experiences. George had a stellar beat down at center slot which he swam and got recirculated. Matt learned his first blunt on Garburator. Cannon got an air blunt and a donkey flip on babyface. Thys has developed more confidence on the river and managed to do the whole Ottawa river successfully. Patrick has begun to work on his right blunt and is having a great time. Matt learned how to blunt, bow stall, and flat water loop. And Joey has been enjoying getting his airscrews.  The river level is dropping which is not as cool as some features may go out soon if it keeps up like this. We are also having a food crisis since we eat so much we tend to run out of breakfast foods rather quickly.

Patrick- Week 1

Waiting for burgers at lunch site
Hey this is Patrick with my first post of the session! This week has been pretty stellar and awesome. Monday was a crazy cold day and we ran the river. Since then it has warmed up greatly. Tuesday some of the keeners went and did SRT while other keeners and I hit the main by surfing waves such as Garb and push button. Today, we began the day by doing some surfing and running Phils which was a fun introduction to McCoy's chute. We then did some surfing at Baby Face and made our way down to the Lorne. After lunch we had a race at Normans and Coliseum in which I came in second to last. These kids are pretty dope and the next couple weeks will be pretty shweet.
