2nd week of keeners

Practicing How to rescue using a Throw rope
during SRT last week. 

This is Jacob, or "Alabama" as the other Keeners call me. I am checking in and can I just say what a week!!!!! This week I got a lot of spins and blunts. We have been surfing waves called pushbutton and Garb. Pushbutton is pretty small compared to Garb, but pretty big still compared to where I live. In Alabama we don't have very big waves so this is very good practice. Today I swam through 7/8 hole and got a early big water beat down during our Keener Hunger Games competition where we had to self rescue in the McCoys Rapid. ...... it was AWESOME!!!

My name is Jacob Walker. This my first week at keeners and it is AMAZING!! The water is so warm and the waves are so big. I am from Alabama and there is nothing like the Ottawa there!! I really like pushbutton and baby face. The instructors are great ...... they are always supportive and they have so much to teach. The ottowa is the best river on earth!!
