Brenden, Week 2

So this is my second week at keeners and its been awesome so far. This week is a 'hunger games' themed week, we all have to be tributes a few times and do intense challenges. 

Yesterday I won an 8 ball race down Colliseum. 8 ball races are a crazy race where people line up and try to get to the bottom while other people are there trying to knock them off course. The coaches here are awesome this week we have guest coaches, Tribe rider Deuce and world freestyle and squirt boating champion Claire O'Hara. Having Steve-o and Clay as main coaches is awesome, Clay organises the Teva mountain games 8 ball races so its cool to hear professional advice from people who organize these pro events.

I'm super excited for big water beatdown today. Last week I got worked and broke my boat. But luckily because Steve-o and Clay work for Jackson they knew how to fix it so in the end its all fun and games.

Hi, my names Brenden and this is my first year at Keeners. These last three days have been amazing,  the first two days we ran the river's main channel. Today we did the first half of our Swiftwater Rescue Technician training. We got to swim and rescue each other on the wave train on Lorne. The coaches had so much knowledge and stories about situations where people need saving so it was nice to see the real world application. After supper tonight we were allowed to go for a short paddle on Babyface. Its so nice having the waves right outside our door, I got to "windowshade" and cast spells like mad. I think the next two weeks should be awesome!
