Its only the second day and I already have a sunburn. Yesterday I decided to not wear sunscreen because I was wearing a rash guard, but I forgot about my face. Sunburn doesn’t usually feel to bad for me. But when the straps on my lifejacket are rubbing against my neck, and my nose plug is tight on my burned nose, I can feel my sunburn all the time. And every time I flip over I can feel the sunburn. But otherwise Keeners is pretty fun so far. On the first day we split into our groups, I’d never been on the Ottawa so I had no idea about the rapids and what was good. My friends all told me Garb was really good so I went with the group that went to Garb. It was nothing like what I expected. Looking at the wave from the shore I was surprised, it was a-lot bigger and scarier than I expected it to look. When we ran down And came back up to surf it I wasn’t sure I wanted to except for when I saw how flushy it was. It was my turn to go and I ferried out and caught the wave first time. I wasn’t ready for it so I ended up bouncing down the wave and then hitting the rail and flipping over. It was pretty fun.
