How to shave a head (the importance of parental permission) by Ben Giersch

Imagine you and your friend are stranded in the blazing unforgiving Saharan Desert slowly being drained by the enormous ball of fire looming above you. You are tired of this feeling so you think to yourself, “there must be something I can do”. Finally you think wait sweat comes from my head, why not shave it. Well believe it or not similar situations have taken place even farther north than one would think. Jump to Ottawa Canada where a tired group of Keeners are slowly trudging off of the river and climbing into their sweat lodge of a buss. A young keener by the name Of Benjamin Atherton looked to me and said “I’ve never sweated this much in my entire life”. This got me thinking, how can I, a keener, make a difference in this world.

So why not shave his head

Materials:
Electric razor
Kitchen scissors
Clean razor
Spray bottle
Shaving cream
Hair ties

Prep the hair by spraying down with the spray bottle.

  1. Begin by cutting off enormous clumps of hair with the kitchen scissors. Tip: if it hurts keep going. For my patient, I decided to leave the bangs.
  2. You will then take the hair tie and wrap the bangs up in a ponytail.
  3. Next take the electric razor, flip up the trimmer attachment and begin to construct a biz cut around the area of the ponytail.
  4. If you want to add a bit of bling to your victims head, create a paper stencil and place it on the buzzed area of the head. Begin to make an outline with the electric razor.
  5. Than swoop in with your clean razor and start to shave the buzzed area away. This may be difficult if you are working around a clean design such as a maple leaf.
  6. Once you have finished, you are now ready to release your creation into the wild.

Look at that smile.

Now this is all fun and games until you get home and your parents are horrified at what was done to there child. That is why the most important part of any process such as this is to get parental permission.
