The lesson of fun by Marc- Antoine D'Avignon

The Ottawa river, one of the greatest river in the world. The most amazing spot of that rivers is the mini bus, a very fun and foamy wave. Mini bus is a wave that a lot of people enjoy surfing especially us keeners who love the adrenaline.

Today was the I was doing the  Ottawa river's main channel for the first time in the session and in my life. I thought that it was going to be the coolest thing ever especially when we got to mini bus which as mentioned earlier is so cool. The first ride in mini bus was a failure because I was beat down, the second ride I was in the wave and settling nice and slowly and all of a sudden boom bing bang I was under water getting beat up and I felt my helmet move around, I roll back up still into mini bus no helmet. After my roll I look around to see if anyone went to get my helmet unfortunately no one did ( if someone did go i would have kept surfing) so I had to go get it. I get my helmet and one of
The straps broke and the helmet foam is gone. A four month old helmet instantly breaks, how disappointing.

This event taught me something, I need to keep a smile even if gear breaks because gear is not that important, what is important it to have as much fun as possible with others and in rapids. I can tell you even when I was getting beat up under water I was still having a mass load of fun. My father once told me " try to have fun, it's not fun to see you angry for stupid reasons.
