How to clean a Keener cabin -Tim

A main focus of Keeners is neatness, and every day the supervisors "ask" us to clean our cabin before we go kayaking. Therefore, it is nice to have a checklist to follow when cleaning.

1. Make sure that if another cabin eats in yours, they stay to help clean.

This is especially important, as people from smaller cabins without kitchens eat in those cabins that do have them. Often, the members of the smaller cabins try to sneak away so that they do not have to clean the cabin they ate in. Prevent that so that everyone cleans equally.

2. Now that everyone is here, wipe down all the surfaces.

This is probably the easiest part, but also the one that gets us sent back to re clean the cabins the most. Simply take a danp towel and wipe off all the dirt from the morning breakfast. Feel free to sweep it on the floor, as step 3 will clean it away.

3. Sweep the floors.

A large amount of dirt accumulates on the floor over the day. Sweep it away with a broom, into a dustpan. If your cabin does not have a broom, tell Anna and borrow someone else's until she gives you another broom.

4. Tidy your room.

Just do it. Make it clean. Straighten out your sleeping bag and put everything back in your suitcase. At least make it presentable.

Now you won't be sent back to your cabin during morning meeting.
