Pros and Cons of Changing Water Levels by Davis Sineath

Changing water levels has a huge impact on the river. With every inch of water a feature can change or a new feature may form. At keeners the water level has been constantly changing, this has both pros and cons.

Pros:
-Always something new coming in
-Don't get good at surfing one particular wave
-Rapids are constantly changing
-Challenges of a new river but with the security of a home run

Cons:
-More scouting if change is drastic
-Don't get to try features for multiple days
-Good features can be hard to find

Changing water levels can be both a blessing and a curse. For example on Friday which was competition day we thought we had features to have our competition on, but when we got there they were really challenging to throw tricks on. While this was disappointing it also pushes us to be able to use a feature to our best extent.
