Now if you are trying to make any kind of video  (especially kayaking videos) you separate your footage into A role and b role a role being shots of your subject. For example your video is about big water bacon beat down. Your A role will be people getting beat down, and in that video your b role will be  anything that isn't people getting beat down. So anything from a time laps of clouds to sunsets or even just  water going down a drop.

So now you might ask yourself how do I make b role?
Now making b role is super simple, an easy way to think about it is every shot that you would post on Instagram with the caption "artsy" is b role. An other way to think about b role is anything that could waste space in your video.


B role is so important. A videos with out B role becomes very easily boring with the lack of content and diversity. 
All thought B role is important a video that is only B role is ver boring and pointless B role should be adding to the whole video experience and not be the whole video.
B role is similar to the cherry on top and A role is more like the whole  cupcake.
