The Journey Begins - Garrett Madlock

At the beginning of 2015, my family and I decided that I should enroll in the Keener program in Ottawa Canada. Keeners is a three week kayaking school with some of the best instructors in the world. At first, I was skeptical about going to a new country by myself, but I soon found out the a few of my friends were also going! Katie, Jacob, Kathryn and I decided that we would all ride up in my dads RV together. 

We began preparing every weekend on big water. I had never truly play boated until this summer. But with the help of many different people, I began getting good pretty fast. When the 2016 Rockstar released my play boating skyrocketed! Before I knew it I could loop in flat water!  Look forward to more blogs through out the trip!
