My experience at keeners and how to blunt on garb By Luke Pomeroy

My experience at keeners has been a life changing experience and I hope to come back for another session next year. From the amazing coaches on the water! White House activities and movies after paddling keeners never stops surprising us with new and fun activities and everyone's paddling activities improving.  Coming into keeners I could barely spin and would normally swim on the river, now nearing the end on keeners I can blunt, clean spin, loop sometimes and I have boosted my confidence more than I ever could have imagined on and off the river. Also I have made great friends with my fellow keeners. Luckily garb came in yesterday and I tried blunting on it for most of the day yesterday, so now I will take you through the steps of how to do a blunt on garb.

Step 1 Catch the wave and surf over to the surfers right hand side of the wave and try and get to the very top of the wave for maximum air and ease for the blunt

Step 2 Drive down the face of the wave hard edging opposite to the side you are blunting on for a bigger bounce

Step 3 Look upstream while placing a backstroke on the side you are blunting on and edge on that same side while driving your bow down.

Step 4 Complete the 360 turn to make the blunt look more believable the you did the full 180.

Step 5 Celebrate because you just did your first blunt and keep trying to improve the trick

Note -that the more opposite edge you give the more air you will get
-a blunt has to be 45 degrees- 90 degrees higher will give you a Pan-am if arial    and lower will give you a roundhouse
