Luke, Week 2
Starting this Monday was a new beginning for me at Keeners. For the first week I was paddling my friends old playboat and it was definitely holding me back with my paddling abilities. I rented a beautiful Yellow Jackson Rock Star from Wilderness Tours and the difference in boat control was unbelievable. I started having a super good time throwing the new boat around and now there’s no internal mental excuse for me to not be able to do anything in my kayak that everybody else here can do. Having that mental barrier gone has helped me immensely and I have already found myself trying new things that I never would have thought possible in my old boat.I'm excited for the rest of the week, to be able to continue pushing myself. This weekend, Tino and I also started doing "1 hour edits", in which we filmed for an hour, and then had one hour to edit our footage. The subject this weekend was the Keener Ramp. I think we got some pretty sick shots, and even though the one hour challenge was hard, I'm looking forwards to going back to finish the edit.
