Best part of keeners so far- Dan Hilleke

The best part of Keeners so far for me has been racing down no name. This has been my favorite part because it’s not a super difficult rapid so you can really focus on your breathing techniques or your forward stroke. This is also my favorite part because you have to use the river current to your advantage to avoid holes and large waves. Lower no name is also one of the best rapids because when you’re not racing there’s so much to surf from big to small and it’s all pool drop. If you want to just make it through the rapid without flipping then you can always sneak river right. The final reason lower no name is one of the best rapids is because of the eddies is on either side of the rapid make great views to watch your buddy surfing at one of the many amazing waves for any level of kayaker.
